Have your say: Design to engage???

The video below is an interesting example of a presentation capture that has been shared with the public. A couple of questions that arose for me are

  1. How much did the audience actually go away with?
  2. Could there have been a more effective way of presenting this information that would have engaged the audience more actively?

I’m not going to answer my own questions – but have included a video below that perhaps offers an alternative, and you could also check out this interactive activity from here where they have a lot of others to choose from ;-)!

In particular, I am interested how ePortfolios can be used in the VET sector (especially where Literacy and Language challenges are faced), in Recognition of Prior Learning, and in authentic, applied assessment. I have been involved with designing and developing ICTELT approaches and programmes for ten years. Following research informed approaches and design, I apply a qualitative, iterative process to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, programmes and tools, encouraging learners' voices and input from all stakeholders.
